For more than 10 years, I’ve written hundreds of stories about health, nutrition and parenting. I currently write Healthy Mama, a weekly column for Foxnews.com where I cover everything from having a healthy pregnancy, the breastfeeding debate and the mommy wars, to chemicals in toys, working mom guilt, and more. My work also appears in First for Women magazine’s Tiredness Cure column.  Other clients include Care.com, WhatToExpect.com and Babble.com.

After graduating from Hofstra University with a B.A. in Video/TV production, I started out my career in marketing and sales at ABC Television Network. I then moved onto the Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network where I was a writer/producer for their on-air promos department. I also worked on the Tyra Banks Show, booking experts and everyday people and handling a ton of other tasks on super-tight deadlines.

Health isn’t only my business, it’s my obsession.  I devour health magazines, diet books and new cookbooks.  I love finding healthy substitutions for my favorite dishes and finding new ways to add veggies to my meals.

Forget chicken nuggets and mac ‘n cheese. My toddler and preschooler are food snobs just like me. They request salad, salmon and quinoa.

I believe that eating right, exercise, and making healthy choices for mind, body, and spirit are all important for a happy, balanced life.
